Some say the best gift is a child’s laughter, we say the best gift is FREE BURRITOS FOR A YEAR!

Here’s the deal, starting on Wednesday the 25th of August, every time you buy a burrito at Cantina or State Street, you can add an entry into the drawing (one per order).  The more entries, the better chance to win.  When you get back home, make sure to be a fan of BTB Burrito and BTB Cantina on Facebook, as this is also required to win.

The drawing will be held on Friday, September 24th around 10pm at the Cantina.  You do not have to be present to win, although it would be pretty sweet if you were there, as you will probably be hoisted up and carried around on people’s shoulders.  If not, we will contact you by e-mail and get you a card entitling you to a lot of burritos.

Free burritos for a year means a burrito a day as we see it.  If you wanted to eat more than 365 burritos, we’re not going to judge you, you’ll just have to pay for the extra. Also, this is not valid for giant burritos.

BUT WAIT…THERE’S MORE……………..

We know you’ve been itching for a burrito eating contest, so… if you prefer a game of skill rather than chance, we will also be holding a burrito eating contest on Friday 9/24 at the Cantina around 10pm.  The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to BTB, get their name on our brand new “Burrito Champions” plaque, and be crowned “Burrito Champion of the Year.” We are looking for 20 entrants, and it’s $5 a person to enter. If you would like to enter, send an email to ryan@btbburrito.com with the subject of “Burrito Eating Contest”

Thanks for your support and good luck!

No purchase necessary, send a self addressed, stamped envelope to:

The sun is out, there are leaves on the trees, chips in the fryer, and a burrito in my belly. We’re staying busy over here getting ready to add some new items to the menu.  The first is our delicious Queso.  We spent over a year trying to perfect this and we finally have it. We are talking Ann Arbor’s best, this stuff has never been in the same room as nacho cheese, make your stomach love you Queso here.  It is now available at all locations, so stop in and check it out. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Also, BTB is going to be sponsoring a few house parties this summer. We’ve been in the mood for a good house party for a while now and we’re gonna do something about it. If you’re interested in BTB sponsoring YOUR house party, shoot me an email at ryan@btbburrito.com.

That’s it for now.  Come see us soon.

Our Packard location continues to serve as a test kitchen for great new BTB food. We are working on new salsa, fajitas, and ques for the menu. We’re also in the process of updating the sinage on the outside of the restaurant. Meanwhile at the Cantina (the only BTB with Booze!), we have started having live DJ’s on the weekends. Lasty, at the Original BTB we’re working on putting our history up on the walls. Come in soon to check out what we were like back when we opened!

The night was getting started and all were having a great time. Many games of Wii went by and the crowd decided it was about time to go out on the town. But where to, seeing as how Ann Arbor offers up so many choices? “Cantiiinaaa,” shouted a certainly inebriated UofM undergrad. So, the night began and the crowd headed to the recently opened BTB Cantina. The walk was short seeing as the Cantina is located in the heart of campus, right above Good Time Charley’s. Most didn’t know what to expect at the Cantina, but Mr. Inebriated guaranteed a good time. When the group entered they were greeted by a festive crowd who was enjoying shooters, margaritas, brews, burritos, and quesadillas. The wide array of tequila ranged from your simple Jose up to more elegant tastes such as Don Julio. And as for the food, we all know that when it comes to Mexican, BTB is el rey de Ann Arbor. Within the Cantina there was spacious seating, arcade games, and even a bar version of good old shuffleboard. So, the crowd mingled, and all were enjoying themselves. At about 3:30 everyone decided they were hungry so they ordered up a batch of burritos and quesadillas. With everyone’s late night craving for munchies fulfilled, they headed back home. Everyone had a great time and was happy to find a new chill spot in Ann Arbor. Long live the Cantina!

It’s nearly Cinco de Mayo and it’s also long overdue for an update on what’s going on at BTB. We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the name change, our tortas, the new Ann Arbor location and all kinds of stuff so it’s time to at least inform the saavy internet users like you.

As for the name change, thanks to everyone for your suggestions and for your votes. We were really overwhelmed by the support we got on campus and we really appreciate it! At this point, BTB Burrito and Big Time Burrito did the best in the voting and we’re still trying to figure out what the final decision will be.  Our name will officially change by September.

TORTAS! For about a month now we’ve been enjoying this new addition to the menu at the Ann Arbor location and if you haven’t tried one yet, give it a shot. We’ve been calling it a “special” but for those of you who have asked, we are planning on making tortas a permanent part of the menu.

And finally, maybe the biggest news of all…as of May 5th there is a NEW BIG TEN BURRITO in Ann Arbor.  It’s at 1906 Packard(995-9940), south of Stadium near Dairy Queen and Frasers Pub. We’ll be open 10AM-10PM 7 days a week and we hope to see ya there. Yet another way for you to get your BTB!

OK. Sorry for the marathon post but I think you’re now all caught up on the world of Big Ten Burrito. Or BTB. Or Big Time Bur….eh, screw it. We’re working on it. And thanks again for your help!
